my flamboyant moments
i was here, in full blossom
me and this lucid body mine
being a thin shadow in this grand show
of nature’s flamboyant moments
amid burgeoning colours
and bergamasque clouds
and now I shall squander this body here
and let it continue to play a pawn
in this zero sum game of yours
and leave soon myself
and play my own games
that I left unifinished
in my own flamboyant moments
in the seasons of tea leaves and lemon grass
of marigolds lone serenading
in the fragrant birch grooves
now I’ll shall be soon gone
to spare no time
and when you come
you see my body busying in this play
that you are so familiar with
and mock me like a child
but I’ll be elsewhere
busying myself in a play
that needs no winning or losing
but just the play
between I and my flamboyant moments
