Because of smog,

Street lamps in Kolkata cannot see far

Because of dust,

Beacons in Casablanca cannot see far

Because of seawind

Trees cannot see far

Because of skyscrapers,

Birds cannot see far

Because of greenhouse gas,

Fishes cannot see far

Because of shipwrecks,

Eyes cannot see far,

Because of dreams,

Dreams cannot see far

Because of mountains

Dreams of drawing near

Mountains of cringing chains…

I cannot see far
